The following pages contain a brief biographical sketch of JPM (as he is popularly known). It reflects the various facets of his multifarious personality and accomplishments in his illustrious career. It also contains his vision and mission for a new world order."
VISIONARY, THINKER, ECONOMIST, SCIENTIST, AUTHOR, INDUSTRIALIST, SOCIALIST AND EDUCATIONIST
Born in a non-descript village in the State of Gujarat, India on 9th September 1939, Jiten Paramanand Mody (popularly known as JPM) since early childhood had a deep desire and conviction to be useful to the society. He has spent major parts of his life towards creating and managing institutions that would change the face of the world. Through these institutions, he tries to reach the heart of every individual he comes across. JPM strongly believed and practiced in what he often says:
“WE MUST GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY AT LEAST DOUBLE OF WHAT WE HAVE TAKEN. THAT WAY THE WORLD WILL ALWAYS BE AN ABUNDANT PLACE.”
Early in life, he also understood the time tested philosophy of Sage Chanakya: “Those who have regards for others have their problems getting solved automatically and they receive benefits at every step.
As a child, JPM was a brilliant student and often used to stand first in the class. Nearly, half a decade ago when most Indian’s were not privileged for primary education, JPM could complete Bachelor in Engineering in two faculties, Electrical and Mechanical and passed out in flying colours. Though this privilege came at the cost of strenuous studies, tenacity and perseverance of unparallel nature that put him at par with the children of the rich and the famous. His academic success strongly reflected his winning instinct despite adversities.
Soon after his studies JPM came to Mumbai (Erstwhile Bombay) and embarked on another adventure “Entrepreneurship”. Winning contracts in fierce competitive environment with high stakes of barriers to entry created by the already established business houses, he says his early experience of success that centered on his sheer positive attitude and pragmatism. He recalls of an incident, where he said to the officer, “Sir, I know why others can’t do it; and I know why I can do it.”
His “can do attitude” coupled with tenacity to hard work and astute business acumen brought him unparalleled fortune, as he continued to create companies after companies successfully. As of now, JPM is the Chairman of the following companies, all created, raised and fortified by him.
• Dwaraka Cements Works Ltd. with reserve of 7.5 crore s and properties worth Rs. 80 crores.
• Coldwell Banker India, subsidiary of Coldwell Banker USA, 3rd largest company in the world with 10,500 offices.

His contribution for the State of Gujarat’s industrialization has been highly acclaimed. In addition as Chairman of Indo-USSR Chamber of Commerce (Western Region), he has contributed significantly towards merchandising India in the erstwhile USSR.
JPM has a vision of creating a new world order free of corruption and crime, penury and poverty, cast, creed and racial discrimination. He has devoted his life to creating an educated world full of understanding and compassion, a world full of love and affection… towards fellowmen and towards all living beings. That is his mission.
A fierce advocate of “Education for all”, JPM as a student was so fond of teaching that he used to teach poor and underprivileged students. That was a time when schools as well as teachers used to be so scarce. Today, JPM is just following his basic instinct of being a teacher he has created some of the finest education institutes in Mumbai, providing high quality and affordable education to nearly 5000 students. At a time when people used to hesitate sending girls to schools, JPM mustered all his courage and enthusiasm to tide over the social inhibition and created a fine all girl’s school by name “Wadia Kanya Vidyalaya” in one of the highly backward areas of the State of Gujarat. Today the school is one of the best and most prestigious schools of its kind providing education to more than 1000 girl students. Some of the other education institutions that were created by him are:

His suggestion for the country’s economic development are of far reaching significance and have been appreciated by the likes of many economic think tanks and political leaders. As Chairman of Kapol Bank, a cooperative bank, his initiatives are ground breaking that gave the bank from a non-descript, laggard to one of the fast growing, modern banks.
During his appointment as Chairman of Kapol Bank, JPM embarked on the ambitious mission of housing India’s poor. With only one third cost of a house, borne by the householder, JPM could give a house each to 500 most obliging residents. These people as a token of their love and affection, named the name of the housing society as JPM Nagar, much to JPM’s denial.
JPM’s feat in management and productivity has been widely acclaimed and the likes of such famed institutions as the Stanford University of USA. He has been regularly consulted for providing credible solutions to complex managerial intricacies.

A case for integrating Indian Society with the modern developments in science and technology, efficiency and administration.
THE SOLUTION
Eradication of Terrorism The Solution brings to the fore the experiences of the long journey of mankind and the fundamentals of major religions of the world. It powerfully, argues that, but for the contribution of religion, the society would have been utterly barbaric as the poor would not have tolerated the wealth of the rich. According to the author, those who are called ‘fundamentalists’ today are, in fact, antifundamentalists. He brings forth innovative ideas of creating international bodies for the eradication of hatred and terrorism, reorienting values and restructuring international institutions to create mature democratic world. The author believes that ‘people create religions and religions dictate what they should or should not do. People establish a state, but the state’s power may limit what the people can do’. The tendency is to see one’s culture as being superior to all others. No belief, practice, behaviour or custom is inherently good or bad, right or wrong. The book as such, becomes an essential reading to visualize the path of freedom and prosperity without fear for all human souls on earth.
MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN INDIA
Integration – Maturity This book tackles a burning issue with much dignity towards the various religious communities. ‘Brain washing’ is the name of so called ‘true religion’ has led to so much anarchy, hatred is so well expressed by the author that it made me think as to how religious sentiments have brainwashed not only others but has lead to my introspection with regard to my own religious beliefs. The author is the mirror of the society. It reflects the true image. What this book has done is that it has gone ahead to not only show the true picture but also has offered practical means to make the picture worth living, beautiful, full of love, peace. The time is not to point fingers but as the author suggests of taking responsibility, taking initiative being part of solution or rather being the solution not as a religious entity alone, but as a universal being. Most books add on to your knowledge. They inform you and bring awareness. This book commits you to take up your responsibility. WHAT SOME OF THE EMINENT READERS SAY ABOUT THIS BOOK
“Mr. Mody also rightly pointed out that one should not mix religion with superstitions, customs, traditions and culture. Religion is one and it is very vital to promote inter-religious harmony. I am sure that this book will dispel many misunderstanding about Muslims and will also induce Muslims to rethink on many issues without getting emotional. I look forward to this book being widely read by both Hindus and Muslims”. DR. ASGHAR ALI ENGINEER
“A purest and finest thought. The author has shown intense, sharp and bold intellectual analysis. I hope not only Muslims but all the communities of the world will take a lesson from this small classic. It can change the world for the better” DR. NARESH VED (EX-VICE CHANCELLOR – GUJRAT UNIVERSITY)
“Many a times thinking alone, I had also come to similar reasoning which the author has aptly expressed in his book. I must confess that I got absolute clarity on the reason and depth for the confusion that exists. I am convinced that if the masses adopt the path shown, the world can achieve peace and prosperity. The theme is applicable not only to Muslims but all the communities” (SHAHABUDDIN RATHOD (WELL-KNOWN HAYAKAAR).
“Mr. Mody had sent the manuscript of the book. I was impressed and gave my suggestions thereon. I wish that not only the members of the Muslim community but also other communities should read it”. V. RANGANATHAN FORMER CHIEF SECRETARY, GOVT. OF MAHARASHTRA

It also analyses the events and the great idea of that have launched the society into exaltation of achievements and advancement. “The Turning Point – Opportunity to Political Parties” is not a History Book, it is a book of understanding and learning how the components of democracies are intricately related, which leaves the reader to ponder and contemplate as why democracy has survived thousands of epoch-making years.
